The Great Dragon's youngest disciple. Because she was mischievous, the Great Dragon handed her over to Zilong for discipline. After Zilong took on the huge responsibility of protecting the Cadia Riverlands and left the Dragon Altar, Chang'e regained her willful nature. the Great Dragon was unable to bear it and drove her out of the Dragon Altar and ask her to help Zilong to make up for her mistake.

Lore

Chang'e is the youngest disciple of the Great Dragon and from an early age, she exhibited amazing magical potential, quickly mastering the Great Dragon's greatest spell―The Sacred Satellite. From then on, Chang'e earned the Great Dragon's eternal love. However, Chang'e had an energetic and fun-loving personality that gave the Great Dragon quite a few headaches.

Every time the Great Dragon, enjoyed a peaceful afternoon, he would most probably smell the rotten scent of trouble and soon enough, some of the servants in the Sanctuary would come running over to him, only to tell him that Chang'e had yet again caught up with some mischief, either shattering some antique vase, very dear to the Great Dragon's collection or running around the place with her jade bunny, making a mess of everything in her way.

Finally, he realized that his old bones would be trampled in all this ruckus and asked Zilong, his adopted son, to look after Chang'e. The Great Dragon knew that only Zilong's patience could handle Chang'e and also was hopeful that Zilong's diligent and determined character could help guide Chang'e.

Zilong came to love the vibrant and intelligent little rascal, Chang'e. They often spent countless hours together, practicing magic and finding divine creatures to play with and Zilong would occasionally play silly games with her, even if it meant a complete waste of time, for Zilong. Chang'e also loved spending time with her big brother, Zilong. To make things productive, Zilong began to teach her the art of Kung Fu and other things such as meditation and archery. Chang'e's favorite part of the day, however, was at the end of the training, when Zilong would carry her on his back on their way home.

During the second War of the Planes, Zilong received orders to assist the wise rulers of the land, traveling between the Land of Dawn. After he left, Chang'e returned to her naughty and childish ways. At one point, the Great Dragon was not sure if there would ever be another day of peace- That is, until something big happened and the servants came running over to him. Chang'e had swallowed all of his sacred immortality pills by accident, thinking it was candy. The Great Dragon was furious, transforming into his dragon form, he scared Chang'e off her feet and immediately cast Chang'e out of his sanctuary ordering her to travel towards the Planes, to assist Zilong and atone for her mistakes, before she could return to the Sanctuary.

Even then, the Great Dragon felt compelled to give Chang'e, his precious Crescent Moon to protect her. Letting Chang'e off, brought peace to the Great Dragon, but not happiness. He hoped that she would not consider him to have been too cold and hate him ever forward. However, Chang'e was excited to venture into the Land of Dawn, which she considered to be a place filled with lots and lots of new stuff. Mostly though, she was eager to see her big brother, Zilong, again.

Starmoon Shockwave AOE Slow Chang'e sends an energy ball forward, dealing 300–450 (+120% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies and slows them by 20% for 1.5 seconds. Crescent Moon: Crescent Moon will send 4 energy balls alongside Chang'e, each of which deals 20% of Chang'e's damage dealt and slows enemies. (Slowing Effect can be stacked up to 40%.) Skill terms Magic Skill Deal Magic DMG to enemies. Triggers Spell Vamp. Movement Speed Movement Speed on the battlefield. Usually Calculated and Actual Movement Speed is equal. But when Movement Speed is below 230 or over 420 both Slowdown and Speedup Effect will decay. Calculated Movement Speed = Basic Movement Speed × (100% + All Speedup Effect% - All Slowdown Effect%).

Skill 2

Crescent Moon Buff Shield Chang'e calls upon the Crescent Moon, gaining a permanent 300–500 (+150% Total Magic Power) shield and 10% extra Movement Speed until the shield is broken. She also gains 50% extra Movement Speed that decays over 2.5 seconds on each skill cast. The Crescent Moon will enhance Chang'e skills and Basic Attacks. Enhanced Basic Attack: Chang'e Basic Attack deals 40 (+30% Total Physical Attack) (+70% Total Magic Power) extra Magic Damage. Skill terms Movement Speed Movement Speed on the battlefield. Usually Calculated and Actual Movement Speed is equal. But when Movement Speed is below 230 or over 420 both Slowdown and Speedup Effect will decay. Calculated Movement Speed = Basic Movement Speed × (100% + All Speedup Effect% - All Slowdown Effect%). Magic Basic Attack Deal Magic DMG to enemies. It can trigger ATK Effect and Magic Lifesteal.

Ultimate

Meteor Shower Burst Chang'e gathers strength and increases her Movement Speed by 10% for 4 seconds. Meanwhile, she launches 30 Meteors Meteors forward, each of which deals 50–80 (+30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage (Deals extra 100% damage to minions and creeps). Crescent Moon: Crescent Moon will cast Meteors together with Chang'e, each of which deals 33% of Chang'e's damage. Skill terms Magic Skill Deal Magic DMG to enemies. Triggers Spell Vamp. Movement Speed Movement Speed on the battlefield. Usually Calculated and Actual Movement Speed is equal. But when Movement Speed is below 230 or over 420 both Slowdown and Speedup Effect will decay. Calculated Movement Speed = Basic Movement Speed × (100% + All Speedup Effect% - All Slowdown Effect%).

General

• Chang'e (嫦娥) is based on the Moon Goddess from Chinese mythology, in which she is the subject of several legends. The large crescent moon halo which she is riding on is the proof.
• In Chinese zodiac, the Rabbit (兔) is the fourth of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. These are Rabbit years: 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023.
• Chang'e's bunny companion is named Jade.
• Chang'e is the sister of Zilong.

Development

• Due to a bug, her pre-rework first skill were able to deal damage to turrets.

Quotes

• In one of her quotes, Chang'e mentions Roger while addressing to her rabbit companions; this is a reference to his wolf form, since wolves are known for hunting many animals including rabbits.
• Her giggle that can be heard on hero selection for Crimson Moon was reused from her old hero selection quote.
