Magic Defense (Magic DEF, previously known as Magic Resistance) is a defensive attribute that reduces Magic Damage taken and can be obtained through emblems, items, or hero abilities.

Total Magic Defense[]
In reducing the Physical Defense, the fixed-value Defense Reduction comes first, then the Percentage DEF Reduction and Magic Penetration and finally the fixed-value PEN. This decrease can be defined as:
Magic Damage Multiplier[]
Stacking Magic Defense have diminishing returns, for example that is 120 Magic DEF reduces Magic Damage taken from 100% to 50% while having a 240 Magic DEF reduces to 33% Magic DMG only. However, note that in short, the more the Magic Defense, the lesser the Magic Damage Reduction received. The equation showing the effect of Magic DEF to Magic DMG is shown below:
Positive Defense[]
If Magic DEF = 100:
With 100 Magic Defense, the hero will take 54.55% of Magic DMG.
Negative Defense[]
If Magic DEF = -36:
With -36 Magic Defense, the hero will take 142.85% of Magic DMG or 42.85% Extra Magic DMG.
